Day 44: Fri 20 June 25 - Bargara
Fri 20 June 25 - Bargara
Weather: 13 to 23 Deg moslty clear with very fresh SE winds
Olli has been surprising us with how well he's been sleeping through the night, but getting up to take him to the toilet at 5:30am has been a little earlier than we would like. We stayed up this morning and had a cuppa, then I set off for a nice walk along the Turtle Trail / Esplanade into Bargara where I sat down and enjoyed a coffee overlooking the beach. The breeze was fresh and the sun was warm, and importantly the coffee was very nice. Back at the van after breakfast, Noel and I took Olli for another walk along the esplanade back into Bargara for another coffee. We returned to the van shortly after 11:00am, got changed and drove to the nearby Garden Mill Cafe for lunch with an ex Navy Writer friend Angella Hillis who I served with and now lives with her husband Bill (and their two spoilt dachshunds) in Bargara. After an enjoyable lunch and catch up we returned to the van for the afternoon, then joined our neighbours Rod and Deb for refreshments and some live music at the camp kitchen. It was an enjoyable evening to wrap up a wonderful day.
