Day 43: Thu 19 June 25 - Bundaberg (Wyper Scout Camp) to Bargara
Thu 19 June 25 - Bundaberg (Wyper Park Scout Camp) to Bargara (32km)
Weather: 12 to 23 Deg, Clear with moderate SE winds
Today was another very short move, Wyper Park Scout Camp to Bargara Discovery Parks for a 4 night stay. We're enjoying the change to longer stays compared to previous trips where we were on the move every 2-3 days to new destinations. With no plans other than to be back home in Canberra by mid July, we're enjoying the mild coastal QLD winter weather while we can. With only a 32km drive and check in after 1100am, we took our time to leave the scout camp, and we were still set up on our site and having lunch shortly after midday. After meeting and chatting with our very friendly neighbours (Rod and Deb from the central Coast travelling in a Prime Edge), we did some cleaning and washing, and had a quiet afternoon. I did find motivation later in the day to go out for an enjoyable 20km ride through the Mon Repos Conservation Park to Burnett Heads and back. It was a pleasant tail wind riding out, but coming back took a little more effort.
