Day 30: Fri 06 June 25 - Emu Park
Fri 06 June 25 - Emu Park
Weather: 14 to 21 Deg, cloudy early becoming mostly clear with fresh light southerly winds.
The baby hound slept all night, and behaved himself. He started to become a lot more lively by this evening, obviously getting over any anxiety from separation from it's mother. Hoping he sleeps through again tonight, because we're both feeling tired after what seems like a long day. My day started at 6:00am with over an hour long walk along the Centenary of Anzac Memorial Walk and along Emu Park beach and back to the van. Meanwhile Noel did the washing and got to know Olli better. Another morning coffee was had at the local cafe then we returned to the van for the afternoon. After lunch I took the bike out for a ride around Emu Park / Zilzie, which highlighted to me just how hilly the area is. Nonetheless it was nice to get out for a ride. At 5:00pm, my brother Peter and wife Kelly, visiting overnight from Gladstone, called in and we had a BBQ dinner together at the van. An enjoyable day and evening.
