Mon 02 June 25 - Yeppoon
Weather: 18 to 24 Deg, a mostly clear day- magnificent winter weather.
A morning walk was followed by a few chores at the van then we drove out to Emu Park to check out the caravan park and book a site for a few nights. We've had enough of the traffic noise at this caravan park in Yeppoon. It seems every vehicle that goes past is a hotted up V8 cruiser, patrol or holden without an exhaust with their pedal to the metal. We expect it will get worse next weekend with the Yeppoon show on only a few blocks away. It definitely wasn't as noisy as this last time we stayed here. We had booked for two weeks, but only paid for one, so we've decided to move on to Emu Park for a few nights on Thursday. After a morning brew at Emu Park, and drive around Zilzie, we returned to the van with Noel and I parting ways. Noel set off for some retail therapy and a manicure, while I went up to visit staff at Capricorn Gardens Aged Care, then visited my Aunt and Uncle (on Mum's side). Timing is everything, as I joined them in demolishing two delicious freshly cooked Mud Crabs for lunch (sorry Mum!).
It was a cracking day on the Capricorn Coast, and with time to kill, I went out on another 20+km ride to the Causeway and back. Dinner and a relaxing evening at home wrapped up a relaxing day.
