Day 4: Sun 11 May 25 - Griffith [Mothers Day]

 Sun 11 May 25 - Griffith

Happy Mother's Day Ladies 🥂

Weather: 9 Feels like 7 Degrees at 06:30am, becoming  partly cloudy and reaching 24 Deg.

The day didn't start very well when after our morning brew, Noel decided to do some washing and unknowingly flooded the bathroom floor. The knuckleheads who replaced the front and rear Alucomp panels on the van in Melbourne in January didn't reconnect the water hose to the washing machine, so when Noel turned on the water tap, water ran into the cupboard space behind the washing machine instead of in to it. We got to it quickly, but not before the floor in the cupboard space was covered in about an inch of water. I removed the washing machine, soaked up all the water with towels and dried it out as best I could, hoping it's dried out enough to not get mouldy. Having dealt with this setback, we climbed in the car and headed into town for a much needed caffeine fix. Afterward, we visited the cemetery for Noel to wish her Mother a Heavenly Happy Mother's Day, then the rest of the day evaporated with family visits. It was nice catching up with everyone in the afternoon, but there was little opportunity for any sightseeing or photography. Tomorrow, unsure of our destination, we leave Griffith to start our trip north through Hillston towards Cobar.
